It relates to our study of Humanities by discovery new life, science and exploring through history, aquariums, planetariums, and a four story rain forest. It lets you explore and understand the studies of science and research. It Lets the public bring to life the life around us with diverse ways of education through science exploration. Newly rebuilt this remarkable place is like no other science museum.

Contains the following "analytical elements":
Observation: What did you choose? What do you see or hear or feel or think of in the choice you made? What is the subject of the work? If you chose a 'thing' what is the work made of and what techniques (colors, lines, shapes, textures)does the creator use? Be specific in your description. If you chose a place, be specific in your description of what you see or hear. Talk to your reader as though they cannot see the item but somehow must draw a painting of what you see or hear. 1 point

I choose The California Academy of Sciences.
This wonderful Museum in Golden Gate park is made up of many shapes, textures, lines, and colors that you can image. Walking through the entrance of this large structure is nothing but glass windows, designed to let the viewers be reconnected with the park by having a direct sight at nature. The tall trees around these windows help one feel like they are in the forest. Roaming this beautiful Museum you will find aquariums filled with exotic colorful fish and other water creatures. One wonderful element to this aquarium is live South African penguins and a swamp filled with green vibrant alligators. Venturing through this maze to the Planetarium filled with color, lights, shapes and size to help one understand the universe around us. This amphitheater room which is called the Morrison's new dome is 75 feet in diameter and 90,592 cubic feet in volume- the largest all digital dome in the world. This dome displays 3-D scientific data visualization, that can take you anywhere in space. Onward to the four story Tropical Rain Forest which is filled with warm humidity giving you the exact feeling if you were actually in the Rain Forest. With colorful birds, and butterflies flying buzzing around it takes you to a far place. With the feel of the earth around, the smell of the warm Rain Forest, and the colorful lights of the atmoshere; this place is going to be breath taking.
Interpretation: What is your choice about? Give specific examples to support this statement in 2 sentences; do so in a way that teaches us something about your choice. Make Paulo Freire proud! .75 point
The California Academy of Science is a inspiring and educating place. A place for all ages to go and detach themselves from their everyday life and explore the world around. My choice is about exploring and understanding all the diverse ways of education through live creatures and life like creatures. The world around us is a beautiful thing and this Museum has a wonderful way of helping us understand just how beautiful it is. It teaches us that the world is a precious things and we need to take care of it.
Judgment: What led you to your choice? What do you think or feel about this choice? Why do you feel this way? Support your thoughts with specific observations. .5 point
I choose The California Academy of Sciences because I believe it is very important to learn about the world around us. Although this museum hasn't upended its doors yet, I have be keeping up on its newly remodeling process. My fiance is a big science guy and has really been educating me on this amazing Museum, now I am hooked! There is so much science wrapped up in our world, I believe its important to understand how it works. I feel The California Academy of Sciences is a place that you can easily learn about the world around us; in fun activities, real wild life, and 3D orbiting planets. I find it hard to learn from a text book but easy to see it in real life. It helps visualize things by seeing it in reality, which helps understand how it really works. This Museum is fun for all age groups and will be extremely entertaining. I love the way that they teach you about the animals and how you can experience first hand what the look like, what the sound like, and what surroundings they live in. It helps you understand diverse science and wild life.

Questioning: What else would you like to know about this choice? When completing the question section, lead your audience into the question by stating a fact you do know, yet you still have the related question. This way, both your audience and you will have an educational experience. Example: I learned that John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath was based on his personal experience working with farm workers. I would like to know if the characters he used in that book are fictitious or are they people he met? .5 point
I have learned that The California Academy of Sciences is going to be a incredible Museum. I hope to check it out when it opens to actually learn about the world around me first hand. I have so many questions regarding the Rain Forest like: How much of the Rain Forest is left? What can I do to help?

5. Using your classmates work from last week, tell us one thing you learned from 1 student. Is this one thing some common experience you share or some experience that is completely different than what you experienced? Is this one thing related to our class theoretical foundation and if so, how? Is that one thing related to historical or cultural context of this country or a different one? Link that persons blog to this entry (eg cut paste that blog entry here) . .5 point
In reading the most of the blogs from last week I learned that a lot of people did San Francisco as their place for assignment 2a. I also did my blog on San Francisco, I believe many people have done San Francisco because the city is filled with so many diverse and cultural difference, it makes for a good topic. I leaned from Christina Ambrosini that she believe San Francisco is a place you can go and be free with out stereotypes, which I fully agree with her. http://christinarose89.blogspot.com/ .
