The classmate I choose is Ana Ceniceros. We both did our 3a World Cities on San Francisco vs Los Angeles.
2. What is something similar this classmate said about the choice?
Ana and I both focused on the cultural diversity found in each city. We also had very similar findings on the stereotypes of each city. We also found similar stereotypes between the two cities. When people think Los Angeles they think rich and famous. Where everyone is tan and beautiful. When people think of San Fransisco gay community and very liberal city.
3. What is something different this classmate said about the choice?

Ana and I have different opinions about the differences between each city. Ana stated that San Francisco was known for its clam chowder and is more corporate and politically more aware than LA. I thought was different was the weather, the size and population.
4. How would you relate this to Freire's ideas regarding dialogue? For example, you went in thinking one idea, your classmate had a different idea. What new idea emerged from this process?

I went in thinking about the diversity throughout each culture and Ana seemed to be doing the same thing as well. Although we were thinking the same ideas, I still came out with new ideas that I hadn't thought about. For example, relating San Francisco for its clam chowder and its political ways.
